Know your rights!
CVMC employees have a right to:
- Self-organize and form our union.
- Consider our self-interest as healthcare workers.
- Express our ideas and tell management we have made up our mind.
- Distribute Union literature in non-work areas and on non-work time, or whenever/wherever the employer allows employees to distribute non-work literature.
- Talk about our union in non-work areas and on non-work time, or whenever/wherever non-work related conversation (e.g. sports, American Idol, etc.) is allowed.
- Wear union stickers, buttons and lanyards.
Citrus Valley Medical Center Administration needs to follow guidelines as we form our union. They:
- Cannot discipline us for supporting our union.
- Cannot threaten to fire us or replace us because of our Union activities.
- Cannot threaten us with loss of benefits.
- Question us about our union activities, or otherwise coerce us.
- Spy on us.
- Make promises to us to discourage us from forming our union.
